Regarding Vol Core courses

To share with the Faculty Senate, here are several items regarding Vol Core.

1) The link to the general information page re. vol core. https://ugcouncil.utk.edu/volunteer-core/ On this page, information regarding the vol core program and explanations of each of the separate categories can be found. In addition, the application for each of the categories can be found there.  There are examples which can be useful. 

2) Proposals received by October 15, 2021, should be processed in time for the 2022-2023 catalog unless revisions are needed. Proposals received after that date will be reviewed as quickly as possible and may or may not be ready for the 2022-2023 catalog.

3) Dr. Colby has established a system so that each college has or will have one person who is working with their AD to serve as a College Vol Core Representative and will be helping to streamline communication.  This will involve the distribution of a letter to the submitting department, vol core rep, and faculty as to the outcome of the review.
