I would imagine that David Millhorn can give you the details in their entirety. Your initial presumption is incorrect. Governor's Chairs can be appointed at any appropriate campus or institute throughout the UT system. One would expect that the majority will be UTK appointments. The search process is initiated by the joint UT/ORNL group that involves scientist and administrators from both organizations. Oversight and coordination of the searches in all four joint institute areas is provided by Jim Roberto at ORNL and David Millhorn. At the time in the process that a candidate looks competitive, the appropriate academic unit at the appropriate UT site is contacted and initiates the screening according to their established procedures. You are correct that an affirmative action statement should appear in all of our advertisements. Any oversights in that area will be corrected. Thanks for your input. John Petersen John D.
